Prayers for my Grandpa

My Grandpa was rushed to the hospital with an abdominal aneurysm early this morning. They brought him to Campbellford by ambulance at about 4am this morning, and the rushed him to peterbourough for surgery. They think that it ruptured at about the time the ambulance came.
Right now he is in intensive care under heavy sedation. He lost a lot of blood so they had to give him lots. He also is in a lot of pain, so that is why they are keeping him sedated. He is so heavily sedated that he is also on a ventilator to help him breathe.
Please pray for him that he will recover quickly and that he will be ok.

Also an update on Timothy.
Here are Shauna's words:

Well, this week has been quite the whirlwind for our family starting last Wednesday evening. On Sunday night Tim got a cough and a runny nose. He had been eating less, lost his voice, and getting more sleepy and his jaundice seemed to be worsening. By Wednesday night he was quite floppy, very yellow, (even his tears!), and he stopped waking to eat, and even refused to eat. So we took him to the ER in Cambridge. They took him in right away where he underwent MANY tests including blood work, a chest film and even a lumbar puncture! How awful! Poor little guy! They suspected meningitis at first and were VERY concerned about him. Even to the point that we went over his “chances”. Tim was then ambulanced over to McMaster. What a little guy on this huge stretcher and attached to so many wires. Ken and I followed in the car. We got there at about 6:00 am having missed a whole night’s sleep. He was in the pediatric ICU under close care until Friday where he got “beat up” every 2 hours by the physiotherapist who had to percuss his chest, sides and back with an instrument and then suction out his lungs thru his nose. How horrible, him screaming and turning purple.
By this time they knew he had the RSV virus. A respiratory virus and also thought he had an “overwhelming bacterial infection” such as pneumonia. All the bacterial cultures kept coming back negative. He was on 4 antibiotics and antiviral at first and slowly got weaned down to one. He was also dehydrated and was given a saline solution thru IV. He was connected to so many wires and even oxygen in his nose because his O2 saturation kept dropping.

By Friday at 11am he got a room in the peds ward where he no longer needed one on one care. I now had a cot in the room to sleep in and could stay overnight. The nurses at Mac were phenomenal and we couldn’t have asked for better care. We had over 100 people praying for us at home and church and I continued to adjust Tim at C1 every couple of hours to boost his immune system and help him get better faster. We were told he would be in the hospital a minimum of 7-10 days when all in all, he got to go home after a total of 3 ½ days! Praise God! We have seen the awesome power of prayer and we thank God that he chose to save his little life. What a blessing Timothy is to our family!

Tim is recovering at home with a nasty cough and needs to stay away from kids for 7 days.

Thank you all for your prayers and concern,

Love, Shauna, Ken, Kate and Tim

Thanks for your prayers everyone!
