Visiting Ottawa

Last weekend we went for our bimonthly visit to Ottawa! Eric had no work on Friday so we left in the morning. We had a very rough drive as Aidan decided to cry for at least 1/3 of the way there! We think that he must have been car sick, poor little guy! When we eventually got there, we ate a three course fondue meal that Alanna made! Mmmm good! We also got to enjoy the company of Chris and Charlene that night! Saturday it rained! But we still managed to get out and do some bowling ( at this ancient looking place where you have to keep your own score, good thing Eric knew how!) and some shopping! We also played a rousing game of Settlers. Sunday we spent dome time visiting and also went for a walk. We put the boys in backpacks. They were godd for most of the time, but we ending up ending our walk by carrying them separate from the backpacks! Because Eric had no work on Monday either, we decided to stay until then! It was great to spend such a long weekend with Brian, Alanna, and Lucas! I think that Aidan misses having Lucas to play with! But soon, he will be here to stay with us for a weekend and they can play again!
