(first of all, thanks to Alanna for the idea of using a song as a title, and thanks to Great Big Sea for the lyrics:)
After talking on the phone to Alanna yesterday ( again:) we discovered that Lucas and Aidan are having very similar problems! When Aidan goes to bed for his afternoon nap (for some reason it's only this nap that he does this) he feels a great need to practice standing up in his crib, and like Lucas, when he is in his crib, whether he is sitting or standing, he can't get back to lying down! And so there he sits or stands... crying... and waiting for me to come and lie him back down. But of course he is back up again within 2 minutes...even if he is in his sleeping bag. So I am now trying to teach him to bend his knees to get back down, which i'm finding is only making him more upset! Oh well, I guess that he will learn soon, he knows how to do it when he isn't in his crib!
