A time for thanks

This year we spent Thanksgiving at the cottage with my parents, my sister and her boyfriend Kevin, and the Sikkema family.
We went up on Friday night and got there around 10:30. On Saturday morning my Mom cooked everyone a scrumptious cottage breakfast. We spent the rest of the day just hanging out and relaxing (while my Dad and Eric brought the boat away....again) Eric and I also took a trip to Port Elgin to go to the Pumpkin Fest, but it turned out that we had the wrong weekend. So we just went to our favorite bookstore instead. Saturday night Mrs. Sikkema cooked all of us a delicious Thanksgiving Dinner! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! Aidan had already had dinner but we gave him some of what we were eating. He loved the stuffing the best!
On Sunday we did the usual sunday stuff. We also took Aidan on his first canoe ride. I'm not sure if he was too sure about it or not, but he didn't complain at all. On Monday we did more work like raking leaves, cleaning the cottage and mowing the lawn. Aidan helped his granpma push the wagon of grass clippings into the bush..and then hitched a ride back! He also had fun playing in the leaves. I tried to get some good pictures but he was too busy watching his grandma cut the lawn! The boys also went golfing on Monday.
We had a great weekend. Some days there were lots of clouds but we never got any rain!
