Anna's first month at home...and meeting Zachary

Well, I think that I have finally found the time to update our blog and let you know how life with Anna is going!
We are just loving her to pieces! She is fitting in very well with our family! Aidan really loves her and and he loves to get her her soother, and give her hugs and kisses and he loves to hold her hand! One time he was helping me burp her and he got a great big one out of her and he just looked so proud. Sometimes in the morning when he wakes up, or after his nap he calls for her from his room! He like to go up to her and get close to her, and then he waves and her and says hi in a tiny voice! It's so cute and heartwarming to see how much he loves her!

Anna is doing very well! I took her to the Early Years Centre Room to Grow program and had her wieghed there. So at one month Anna now weighs 10 pounds 5 ounces, and was just under 22 inces long.....so at one month Anna has finally caught up to her big brothers birth weight!! Anna has also started to smile...at an early 3 weeks!! It's a very beautiful smile! She also has started to coo! Also at 4 1/2 weeks she slept through the night!!!! Too bad she only did it once so far! But normally she only gets up once which is just great! There is the once a week night though where she thinks that she needs to eat for three hours...at 10 - 1. Mommy and Daddy don't like that too much! The latest she has been up has been 4 in the morning! Thankfully she isn't doing that very often! Anna's one month picture

We just spent this past long weekend in Ottawa visiting with Brian, Alanna, Lucas and Zachary, and meeting Zack for the first time! He is very cute! On Saturday morning we took the kids to a petting zoo and Lucas and Aidan just loved to wander around and look at the animals. I think the ducks were a favourite for both of them! The highlight for Aidan was probably the enormous sand box that was full of Tonka trucks! We had a hard time tearing him away from it! He wouldn't even go for a ride on the train because he was having so much fun! The rest of the weekend we spent relaxing and playing outside. Alanna scored an awesome pool/slide at a yard sale and the boys just had a blast in there! Aidan and Lucas had a lot of fun together and actually played really well together, they barely fought! It was great to watch them chase eachother around the house, laughing....while each of them had a car of some sort in each hand!

Well, I thinks that's all I have time for for now!
So... This is a new day of writing( August 14th). I still haven't found time to attach pictures to what I have already written, so I thought that I would update some more. I got Anna weighed again at our last visit to the midwives last week Wednesday, she weighed 11 pounds!!! I guess that all that eating that she is doing between 9:30 p.m. and 3 a.m. is paying off, though it leaves me VERY tired. I hope that she stops that growth spurt thing soon because I would just love to sleep at night. I wrote earlier that she wasn't staying up till 4 too often, but this past week she did it every night but 2. I hope that she stops that before we head to the cottage.
