I love Thanksgiving! It's one of my favorite times of the year. I love it for many reasons, the first being that it's a great time to reflect on the things that I am thankful for, such as God's love, my family, my husband, and all the things that God has blessed me with. I also love Thanksgiving because of the time that we spend with family. And third, I love thanksgiving because of the time of year that it is at....fall. I just love all the colours that God paints the trees at this time of year!
We had a busy but great thanksgiving weekend this year.
Friday evening started us off with the installation of Rev. Aasman, ( Pastor Paul) to be the missionary for Streetlight Ministries. We also had a quick visit at Mom and Dad Hart's where we welcomed in Brian, Alanna, Lucas and Zachary.
Saturday morning we got some stuff down around the house and did some groceries. Then Brian, Alanna and family came over for lunch and the day. Alanna and I did some shopping and Brian and Eric stayed home while the kids napped. The rest of the afternoon was spent playing with the kids in the backyard because the weather was just beautiful! We spent our evening at Devlin's Country Bistro in Mount Pleasant ( without kids!). Mom and Dad Hart were treating the whole family for Eric's Dad's 75th Birthday! The food was great, the fellowship better, and we had a great time!
Sunday morning was a nice family day, with going to church, relaxing at home, and walking to the park.
Monday morning we went back to Mom and Dad Hart's for a tasty brunch of pancakes with whipped cream, chocolate syrup and fruit! Mmmmmmmmmm! is all I can say! After breakfast Eric and Brian went to Mike's house to help him move their playhouse, as they are moving in just a few weeks. Our next stop was McMaster Children's Hospital to visit Noah. Naoh had a nasty meeting with the pavement and badly broke his left arm, landing him with some surgury and brief hospital stay. ( thankfully now he is recovering at home)
Next we were on to my parents house for another afternoon of visiting with family and a scruptious thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings! Eric and my Dad took Aidan on a bike ride to the lake before dinner. And after dinner my Dad took Aidan swimming because the heater was on and Aidan had a blast!!!
It was a great weekend!
Here are some pictures of our weekend!
