I just talked to my Mom about an hour ago. She is still in Peterborough with my Grandpa. The first 48 hours after the surgery are critical so they are going to stick around until tomorrow yet. Also because of the weather though.
My Grandpa is stable and is awake more now. He has a tube in his mouth so he can't talk but he has been finger spelling to my mom. He also had a 'bath' this morning which is a good sign that he is quite stable. They also have him out of the restraints. I guess that they do that so that he wouldn't rip them out when he first woke up and didn't know what was going on. They aren't really sedating him anymore either. The incision is very large, from his chest all the way down past his navel. So that will take a while to heal. He will be in intensive care at least for a few more days, and in the hospital for at least a week.
We are very thankful that he is stable so far!! Please continue to pray for healing for him!
Thanks
Becky

Wow, we'll definitely pray for your grandpa! That is scary! Glad he is stable right now. Also sad to hear Timothy got RSV - that was our worst fear last winter, I wouldn't wish that on anyone, let alone a little baby!! Glad he is doing better too and pray that he has no lasting effects from it.
