A camping we will go!

This past weekend we went camping with Brian, Alanna, and Lucas! We went to Presq'ille Provincial Park. The park is by Brighton which is halfway between Ottawa and here! It was a beautiful park and we had a nice big site!
This was the first time that Lucas and Aidan had been camping! We had a bit of a rough start as the boys did not want to nap in the tents, ( we all thought to ourselves .... why are we here we should just go home....) but after that all was good! It rained off and on all day Sunday but we still had a great time. We went for a walk, played games etc. We had a great big tarp that we could be under. My Grandparents even stopped by on Sunday for a brief visit to see Aidan.
The boys just loved camping and being outside all the time. When we went to the beach we noticed some big differences between our boys! Aidan loves to stay on the blanket and play with toys, Lucas loves to crawl on the sand and eat it and play with it. Aidan only wants to run through the waves, but Lucas will crawl in them until they are splashing him in the face and he just loves it.
It was so much fun just to watch how much fun our boys were having! They discovered so many new things! ( including how to beat up your cousin ;) )
On our way home we made a stop in Brighton, a town near the campground. We wanted to stop for ice cream and stumbled upon Mrs. B's Country Candy and Confections. It was owned by a nice older lady who makes most of what is in her store. She has two friends of hers make the ice cream for her store. One of the flavours was apple pie, and they actually bake the pie and then put it in the ice cream! It was so good! She has free baby cones for babies, and Aidan LOVED to have a cone just his size!
We had a great time! We hope to go there again next year.
