I know.....finally!!

I know it's been a long time since I have updated my blog, I guess I just got a little blogged out for a bit. But now I thought that I would take the time to update it!
So here's a few things that have been going on in our lives lately!
First of all, as most of you probably already know, we are expecting another baby in July!! We are very excited that Aidan will have a little brother or sister! I am 23 weeks and everything has been going well so far. I have been quite sick this time though and have not gained much weight yet, but everything looks good with the baby. We are expecting the baby to come around July 5th. This picture was taken about 5 weeks ago, I think around 18 weeks.

Aidan is growing up so fast, this weekend he will already be 18 months! He is very busy and some of his favourite things to do are: helping Mommy sweep, helping in general actually. He still loves to read books, either by himself or with me. He got some new shoes about a month ago, and they are his favorite thing in the world! I've had to start to hide them just so that he is not asking me to put them on 20 times a day! Almost 2 weeks ago now Aidan ended up in the hospital with pneomonia. His fever started on a Tuesday, and stayed off and on, and by Thursday it was about 102.4 F under his arm and his breathing was very rapid. I called Telehealth and they recommended that I take him into the ER right away. We got there at about 5:45, and we finally got to see the doctor around 10:20. You can imagine the mood that Aidan was in at this time with it being so far past his bedtime! The doctor sent Aidan for chest xrays. They showed that he had pnemonia. So he got admitted into the paediactrics ward so that they could monitor his fever, and the levels of oxygen in his blood. This way he could also see a paediatrician in the morning. We finally made it upstairs around midnight. After getting checked out and having a bottle, Aidan promptly fell asleep as he was so exhausted. Eric insisted that I go home as I hadn't slept in 22 hours, and he stayed with Aidan at the hospital. Niether of them slept very much though. Around 11:30 on Friday we were sent home with antibiotics, steroids and an inhaler and instructions to see the doctor again on Monday. After a long whiny weekend, we saw the doctor and Monday, and she said that he still had tons of mucas in his lungs and gave us a stronger inhaler and some more antibiotics. Now, a week after that Aidan is more like his happy self. In fact, this past weekend he was happier than he's been in months! It's great to have my little boy back! We will go and see the paediatrician again on Monday to see how much progress he is making.Last month we made our annual trip to Ottawa for Winterlude. We left Aidan and Declan at home with Grandparents this year. The weather was a bit mild with freezing rain, so we were unable to skate, or go to the snow kingdom park. We just walked around downtown and had beaver tails, and watched some melting ice sculptures get carved. We also had a wonderful breakfast at Cora's and had a great time just hanging out with our friends!
I think that's about all that is new right now in our lives.
We will be headed up to see my Grandparents in Warkwarth this weekend and take part in the annual Maple Syrup Festival. It should be fun!
Take care all......and I'll try to keep this more up to date!!
