She now weighs 16 pounds, and is still just under 26 inches long! ( we get to keep her in the infant seat a little longer yet) She can almost sit up on her own and loves to practice.
She also loves to hold toys in her hands and chew on them.
She also loves it if you lie down next to her on the floor, she will read for your face and coo at you!
She has also to started to give hugs and kisses. Aidan likes it when she gives him a kiss as she is hugging him. Right now I think that she thinks that Aidan is her hero! if he's in the room her eyes barely ever leave him and her face just lights up and she grins and talks away at him if he comes close! She is still really enjoying her exersaucer, especially now that she is very sturdy in it! Aidan likes to play in ' Anna's cersaucer' too.
We are doing a Roots of Empathy program at a local school here in Brantford. Once a month Anna and I go into a Grade 4 classroom at St Jean de Boef ( i think that's how it spelled) it is a french immersion Catholic school on our road. The program is designed to create empathy in children and to decrease bullying in schools. Every month there is a different topic that is covered such as crying, caring for a baby, emotions, temperment, etc. Anna really enjoys it and loves all the attention that she gets. The kids just love Anna, and they always get really excited when we come. One little girl even wrote a letter to me, asking me about Anna, and telling me that she thinks about Anna everyday! It was very cute! It's the little girl who is to the left of the girl holding Anna in the picture.
