An update

Sorry everybody, I know that it's been a little while since I have written but things have been a little bit crazy around here!
We spent New Years up at the cottage with Arron and Laura and Declan. We had a great time despite the fact that there was NO snow!!! The lake wasn't even frozen. We spent a lot of time just relaxing, playing with the kids, flying Arron's helecopter and playing Settlers. We were even nice and let everyone have a turn winning!

Aidan and Declan reading books together.

Declan was helping Aidan get his boots on because they both wanted to go outside.

Settlers, Settlers, and more Settlers :)

A beautiful site!

We started our new year off with being sick. ( Everyone but Eric) We all had fevers and coughs and runny noses. The kids had it worse than me, especailly Aidan who had a fever for around a week. Both kids also had ear infections. As a result of all this ( and Aidan's coughing since his first birthday, I have him going to see a respirologist (I probably didn't spell that right) at Mac on March 8th.

After that we decided that we were going to go ahead with our plans to build a house in St George and list our house. Since it's a sellers market now, we decided that we needed to list it as soon as possible, so the next 3 weeks were spent painting the trim and touching up paint in the basement, then we had to clear everything out for carpet, and then once the carpet was in we had to set everything up again. Then we cleaned our whole house from top to bottom!! It was a very busy time! Last week Wednesday (Jan. 31st) our house went on the market and by Friday we had two showings, and on Saturday we had an open house. It actually went very well despite the cold and we had about 12 couples through. On Saturday we got our first offer. It was for our asking price!!! and even had a long closing date! It was perfect! So we signed away! But......alas.....this morning the offer fell through. It was on condition of the sale of their house, and the offer an their house fell through, so he withdrew his offer on our house :( :(. SO now we start all over again....I thought I was done with keeping everything perfectly spotless all the time!! Thankfully, we have another showing tonight! We just pray that something will come of it!

Aidan is growing up fast! He's almost 2 1/2 years old already! He talks a mile a minute and has a great sense of humour! He loves to read books in his bed, or our bed and he always has to tell us how cozy it is! He has also discovered the joy of painting. This past week we pinned him down and I buzzed his hair as he SCREAMED like I was trying to kill him. I needed to buzz his hair as he has some very thick cradle cap on the top of his head that I need to get rid of. My great doc told me to buy this expensive shampoo but two pharmisists that I talked to said to NEVER use that on a toddler. Great doctor i have eh? So now that we are oiling and combing out the cradle cap my son is getting these great bald spots on the top of his head as the hair is coming off with it!! Anyone ever had that before?? The pharmasist at Walmart says that it should grow back. ( ....now he really looks like his dad ;)) Aidan's new saying when you are changing a stinky diaper is " O man i stink!" He also says totally awesome! I'm not sure where he got that one from! Aidan and his sister also really love each other as you can see in this picture.

Anna is already 7 months! I missed writing about her at six months so I can update you now. She started sitting by herself just beofre she truned 6 months and she's becoming quite the expert now! She also loves to sit up in the bathtub too! She also loves to talk and listen to her own voice! bababab, amamama, dadadada, yayaya, wawawa. The cutest is that she makes these sounds when she's crying too! She now weighs 17 pounds, 7 1/2 ounces and is 27 inches long. This past weekend we finally switched her over into her big carseat. We actually put Aidan in his carseat from the truck and Anna in his old one. Now whenever we put him in the van he tells us that we have to put his carseat back in the truck. And he asks Anna to get out of her seat so that he can sit in it! Anna is still a very happy baby and we are so blessed to have such a good girl!!
Anna has also discovered the joy of cheerios and the puffed stars from gerber. She tries to pick them up too. Sometimes she even gets it into her mouth! I had to be careful not to leave a blob of cereal on her tray or she will try to pick that up too!
We have also been having fun outside in the snow that we have. Aidan especially loves it! I recently bought him a kids snow shovel and he was so proud! He shoveled the whole upstairs of the house to try it out. When he found it he said " Mommy look what I got!" and continued to smile for the next hour!
That's all for now, I think that would put you up to date in our lives for now!

Cool! Great pics! Ya, we've found out that doctors recommend certain products and especially prescription things (but sometimes just other things) because they make money by writing prescriptions and sometimes off other products because they are paid by manufacturers to recommend their products! Sneeky doctors, even people that are supposed to help us sometimes turn on us just to make a buck! Keep in mind this is a generalization and there are many fabulous doctors out there!
