My Baby Girl is 1! ( and other updates)

I can't believe it but my little girl is already one! She is now 21 pounds, 7 ounces.....and I can't remember her length from the doctor. She is definately becoming a little person with quite the personality!! She says many words so far....mama, daddy, aida (Aidan), doggy, uh-oh, uh-huh, yah, hi, and a couple more that I can't think of right now! She is getting good at expressing herself too, with some word, noises, gestures, and some sign language. So far she can sign more, alldone, and no. The last one not necessarily very good! She might be trouble one day. She also wags her finger at me when i tell her no! uh-oh! She had her birthday while we were at the cottage for the Canada Day Weekend. There are a couple of pictures further down.

This is a milestone month in Aidan's life. Anyone who knows my son knows that he can be a little chicken about many things. He loves tractors, and anything that drives....but he never wants to go near them. We had Eric's dad lawn tractor here to roll the lawn, and ....you'll never believe it....Aidan actually got on it, didn't flinch when Eric started it and drove it!!! He also helped drive the boat at the cottage..another miracle!! My little boy is really growing up!


Here is Anna getting into trouble in the kitchen. She now know where I hide my tupperwear...and loves to empty all that she can reach!



Another major thing for Aidan is the vacuum. He is in general very terrified of it! But......he actually came in the van while I was using it, and then used it himself! He was so proud of himself!

The Roots of Empathy program that Anna and I were in has wrapped up. This is a picture taken at our Baby Celebration Party. The woman in the picture is Mary Gordan. She is the founder of Roots of Empathy, and she made it to our party! If anyone has a baby between May and August...I highly recommend joining in this program! It runs all over the world, and it's amazing!

Anna was not pleased at all with having a life jacket on! Her poor cheeks!


Aidan using the fishing rod we made him. Eric convinced him to try it out in the boat!


He also enjoyed the canoe. He said that he caught 2 fish...but he threw them back :)



There was a family of ducks hanging around at the cottage, and we tried to feed them only to be swarmed by sea gulls too. They kept stealing the food and going very close to the baby ducks. Whenever they got too close, the mommy duck attacked the seagull....that is what is happening in this pictures. It was actually really funny to see!




Here are just a few more of the AWESOME sunsets that God shows us almost every night in our backyard! One day I am going to have to stop taking pictures of them because I will have too many!
